Curriculum
HighReach® Learning Curriculum is based on the
philosophy that “children learn best through hands-on
activities that address the needs of the whole child”.
Our
HighReach® curriculum begins with 12 month old
toddlers and continues through our preschool program.
Each level of the curriculum is developmentally appropriate
for the children.
Themes are used monthly to help introduce new
information to the children. Each theme will present a new
color, shape, number, and often letter that will  be
reiterated through out the school year.
In every day "play" children are learning new concepts.
While playing with blocks, children are learning about
shapes, colors, sizes, balance, ramps, and small machines.
The dramatic play area is a place where children can
practice real life skills, model adult behavior, use their
imagination, and learn self help skills such as buttoning and
zipping.
Science and Sensory areas allow children to become little
scientists. They learn measurements, empty vs. full,
weights, mixing colors, action and reaction.
Math skills can be found in many of the activities that
children do. Children are often sorting items by shapes,
size, colors and other attributes.
Small Motor and Large Motor skills are sharpened and
defined as children play with the different toys and join in to
activities.
It is never just "play"!
